Could you win the Courage Cup?
Have you overcome hardship or injury to take part in The State Street
Caledonian Challenge or The Extra Challenge? This means that you are
eligible to enter the Courage Cup, which offers an added incentive to
complete the course. With a cash prize and 3,000 to give to a chosen
charity, it could make the difference!
The winner of
the Caledonian Courage Cup will be announced in July and will receive a
₤300 cash gift for personal use and ₤3,000 to be given to one
of the many community groups that the Scottish Community Foundation
supports.
A Winning Difference
Last
years winner, Edinburgh man Bob Murray, who suffers from coeliac disease
which often goes undetected but leaves sufferers with digestive problems,
serious anaemia, and sudden weight loss, chose the Feis Lochaber group as
recipient of the 3,000 community award, donated in his name.
Feis Lochaber provides opportunities for young people to
learn traditional dance, music and song, often in Gaelic, and stages
performances throughout the year involving the young people
themselves.
