THE 54

Blisters, sweat and teamwork. And that's before you reach the start line.

Since its inception in 1996 the Caledonian Challenge has become one of the biggest and longest running charity sports events on the calendar. Nearly 20000 people have taken part and helped raise a staggering £14.5 million pounds for charity. And now it's your turn...

Team Charity Event

As part of a team, ideally between 4 and 6 people, you will walk 54 miles in 24 hours along the West Highland Way - one of the most iconic Scottish walks. You will be supported every step of the way by our fantastic volunteers, marshals and stewards as well as your own crack team of support crew which you will recruit prior to the event.

Walk in Stunning Scotland

Located only 3 hours from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen, you'll start in Gairlochy and have regular stops at designated Checkpoints including Fort William and Glen Coe. It's the ‘Walk of Your Life' and you'll never forget the moment when you cross the finish line.

When you sign up to THE 54 you get to participate in one of the UK's greatest, most challenging, and most visually stunning team endurance events. You will experience majestic views of Ben Nevis, the magnificence of Glencoe and Buachaille Etive Mor and the legendary Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park whilst travelling this iconic Scottish walk.

Walk for Charity

Not only will you have lasting memories but you will make a lasting impact to the charity you have chosen to fundraise for. There are now two fundraising options:

Foundation Scotland Teams

Each participant on the THE 54 agrees to raise up to £400 for Foundation Scotland (registered Scottish charity No. SC022910) the organisers of the events. Entry fees and incentives for repeat participants are explained here. Individuals can sign up and nominate team members via: SIGN UP HERE (ENQUIRE HERE)

Third Sector Bond Places

To celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2016, the organisers have opened up its doors to Third Sector organisations of any size, including registered charities, social enterprises or constituted community groups to apply for Bond Places and enter teams to raise funds exclusively and directly for their own causes. More information can be found via: THIRD SECTOR BOND PLACES

A Sense of Achievement

As well as enduring memories of your achievement, which will last a lifetime, you will take with you a sense of pride and accomplishment which is unparalleled - irrespective of how you fare on the course. The emotional and mental rewards to participating cannot be understated - it's a journey you'll never forget.

"Just want to say thank you for a fab weekend although my feet would describe the weekend differently. What a journey - emotionally, physically and mentally but well worth it for the sense of achievement and money raised.  Can I just also say that the organisation was fantastic along with the support from yourselves. Still on a bit of a high but hey - why not?!?!?!?"
